Once upon a moment in the universe, there was a little girl with a magic pen. However, at the time she did not know it was magic. It was her favorite pen but even still, it was just a pen, as it would remain until... For years the little girl wrote words with the pen. She wrote stories and poetry. She did her homework and wrote letters. Sometimes she would even just practice writing her name. She liked the way the pen felt in her hand when it was gliding over the smooth paper. One day at school her art teacher handed out big sheets of smooth drawing paper and said the class could draw anything they want. There were boxes of crayons, pencils of all colors and big buckets of magic markers for her to use. But the little girl just wanted to write words with her favorite pen. She watched as everyone settled into their drawings. The little boy on her left was using markers and drawing a super hero holding fireballs. The little girl on her right was using a gold crayon and drawing a bunch of squiggly lines. She didn’t know what to draw because all she could think of was words and she only wanted to use her favorite pen. The little girl was the only one not drawing so the teacher asked her what was wrong. The girl told her of her dilemma. The teacher thought about it for a second and told her to draw pictures of the letters and see what happened from there. Gleefully, the little girl took out her favorite pen and decided to draw the first word that popped into her mind. That word was –love because she loved her pen. She drew big blocky letter and drew patterns in the inside of the letters. The L had polka dots. The O had stripes. The V had a checker board pattern. And the E had bubbles. At that moment the pen started wiggling and vibrating in her hand. She dropped it on the paper and the pen rolled around in circles a few times until it popped up straight in the air and hovered there, ready to write. The little girl was amazed as she wrapped her fingers around the pen and the pen started writing! All she could do was hold on as words were forming on the page below at a speed she could not believe. They said: THANK YOU FOR DRAWING THE MAGIC DOODLE. MY POWER IS NOW ACTIVATED. IN RETURN FOR ACTIVATING MY POWER PLEASE ACCEPT THIS GIFT. Next, the lines of the doodle started moving and rearranging. First, there was a circle. Then, a line and more lines until it formed, a stick figure! The little girl smiled. Then, the pen drew an exclamation point floating above the stick figure’s head. The pen then wrote: MAY I INTRODUCE CLIO? SHE IS YOUR NEW FRIEND AND SHE LOVES YOU! This is how Clio came to be and she is here to share some love with the world. .
